The Carnatic Music is one among the two classical musics on India.
Nattuvangam is a rhythmic cymbal played to accompany Bharathnatyam performance. The one who is playing Nattuvangam is called as Nattuvanar. The Cymbal is used to represent the foot work of the Bharathnatyam dancer. Nattuvanars are also the dance Gurus. The origin of Nattuvanar can be seen from the 19th CE Chola period.
